Plant Natives Wholesale Nursery has a specific focus on Local Provenance. Native plants that occur naturally in an area are described as being of Local Provenance. These plants have adapted over a long time to the local conditions.  A plant may be from the species and can occur in different areas but will have different local genetic variations/provenances.  As a small local nursery we can offer plants of true local provenance collecting seed and sourcing seed specific (or as close as possible), to the region for the wholesale bulk orders.  
This allows the planting to thrive more than if a plant is sourced from a different region. It also is a way of protecting biodiversity.  If plants are brought in from a different region it could have negative outcomes such as gene weakening impacting plant species survival. 
Our polyhouse also gives us the ability to have a high success rate with cuttings also.  This is great for revegetation projects that would like to include native plants of a rarer species.
